Klondike Pizza

If you have enough of a conscience to realize that there are starving children everywhere and that we Americans gorge ourselves enough that obesity is a national epidemic then do not go to Klondike’s, because you’ll cry yourself to sleep at night. HOWEVER, if you love pizza, and I mean love it, then you would be doing yourself a disservice to skip this place on Tuesday nights. $7.50 + ??? (beer or soda) ≤ $10.00 = a great deal. It would be a good deal if the joint just bought a pile of Red Baron microwave pizzas, nuked them to lukewarm, and tossed them into a pile on the floor, but these guys really go above and beyond on ALL YOU CAN EAT PIZZA NIGHT! As you sit at your table sipping soda a nonstop parade of servers in red shirts walks around the restaurant with either white (some garlicky concoction) or red sauced pizzas wanting nothing more than to give you as many greasy slices you can fit down your pie-hole. I have known some co-workers to go without food all Tuesday while drinking massive amounts of water to stretch their stomachs in order to take full advantage of the offerings of the Klondike Pizza gods. It really is a sight to behold, and if you are looking for
a bargain this is probably right up there with finding a
copy of the Declaration of Independence in grandma’s painting
frame. It really is that good, I swear, and although I am
not a huge fan of the white sauce I have actually seen it
bring tears to a certain big-boned Canadian photographer
when it
makes
its first appearance of the night.
Great atmosphere, peanuts and sawdust on the floor.... For
west coast pizza it was quite good... Beer was great! Service
was good.
Tuesday night all-you-can-eat is great but don't sit
in the back corner if you want roadkill pizza! « bm/epa : 03mar05 » Oh yes. Best thin crust pizza I've found so far in Santa Maria.
Order "The Roadkill" -- every meat in the house (including
reindeer sausage) plus
two cheeses.
You can also
get it
with garlic white sauce instead of the zesty tomato sauce,
but both are yummy. Tuesday nights are all-you-can-eat from
5
to 9 for $7. Mmm, coronary. |
