11:00 is a big time of day for us in the photographer's tent as we fry our minds outside of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse in Santa Maria, Calif. on.... oh crap, this isn't a caption, I don't have to
write this as if it was a 5 year old reading it. Ok, so 11:00 is a special time, its when we order lunch, and every day we try to choose something different to keep the palate nice and mixed. Well, Smackers came up in the rotation and after a frenzied ordering session and half an hour wait out sandwiches came.

I reached for my styrofoam box (doesn't anyone in Santa Maria know that styrofoam kills baby dolphins?) and opened it to see that I had a huge pile of pastrami, lettuce, tomatos, mayo, and cheese but it was all on WONDER BREAD. What self respecting sandwich joint puts its meat on WONDER BREAD and believes that it is doing someone a favor? I mean if I am eating a PB&J I can see WONDER BREAD being a valid choice, but for a quality deli sandwich??? Perhaps I am a bit cynical, its possible, I do like to look for the one bad thing in all the good but having my bread stick to the roof of my mouth as I am attempting to enjoy my (very tasty) pastrami sandwich just pisses me off.

In conclusion, if you have an extra french roll lying around your hotel room or in your pocket then this would be well worth your money and time, but if you like a great sandwich on great bread steer clear please, for me, seriously, wonderbread?
